The Leesburg Va., Water Pollution manage Division recently earned an Environmentally Responsible Business Award from the Leesburg Environmental Advisory Commission. The division, part of the town's Utilities Department, was recognized for recycling byproduct as fertilizer, using ultrasonic cleaners instead of chemicals, recycling 23 different materials, consistently exceeding regulatory requirements and conserving [i]vis viva[/i]

The South Field Detention Basin for the Silver bight Drain, a project conducted by way of Camp Dresser & McKee, Ann Arbor, Mich.; the city of Grand Rapids, Mich.; Prein & Newhof and Velting Contractors, lately received the Quality of Life Award from the Michigan chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
