Washington, DC — Ten federal, state and local programs that exemplify recent models of government working effectively to occasion results were named winners of the 1996 Innovations in American guidance Awards by the Ford Foundation and Harvard University's John F Kennedy gymnasium of Government. Each winner received $100000 from the Ford Foundation.

“These examples of effective rule have produced extraordinary results for Americans,” said Ford Foundation President Susan Berresford at the awards stateliness “They are helping restore faith in government's ability to unfold tough problems.”
