Recently obstruction of justice has earned a prominent place in our public discourse. (1) Obstruction of justice is any "interference with the orderly administration of law and justice" (2) and can be made up of "a salmagundi of crimes." (3) Obstruction of justice is directed principally by 18 U.S.C. [subsection] 1501 from one side 1518, which forbid the obstruction of justice and screen the integrity of proceedings before the federal judiciary and other governmental bodies.
