Browsing past issues of AFP online just got easier. onward average, the AFP Web site (http://www aafp.org/afp) is visited at approximately 60,000 readers each month latter surveys show that most visitors proceed to the site to print gone out an article, use the search engine to find articles in succession a particular topic, or feed on browse previous issues. We are continually looking for ways to improve the site and to make the search and feed upon functions more user friendly.

We freshly implemented a new system that makes accessing certain AFP departments from past issues a little easier. one time you have accessed a specific department in any issue, you now can access all articles that have appeared in that department simply by the agency of clicking on a new menu choice upon the right side of your disguise Here's an example that illustrates this strange "department collections" function.

1 presuppose you are looking at the same of the "Point-of-Care Guides" that appears in the January 15 2006 issue (see Figure 1)

2 forward the right side of your sieve you'll see several options to access additional information and articles. single in kind of those choices is "More in AFP."

3 subject to that heading, you'll see "Point-of-Care Guides." Clicking forward that will bring you to a of recent origin screen that lists all the "Point-of-Care Guides" that have appeared in AFP.

[FIGURE 1 OMITTED]

You can easily flourish through the list of articles to behold what has been published in this department and click to expand any one that interests you. In the coming you will be able to access all department collections from the menu forward the main AFP web page. Because of certain processing requirements related to the Web site, this modern collections feature is not available for recent issues until about two weeks after an issue has been columned We hope to overcome that obstacle in the near future

This strange feature is available for the following AFP departments.

* Clinical Evidence Concise (http://www.aafp.org/afp/bmj)

* Cochrane for Clinicians (http://www.aafp.org/afp/cochrane)

* FPIN's Clinical Inquiries (http://www.aafp.org/afp/fpin)
