The Clinician Information Line of the Center for Disease have the direction of and Prevention (CDC) has added three conditions--mass trauma, bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE)/variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (vCJD) and viral hemorrhagic fevers--to its expanding list of disease topics. The information line now conceals 16 topics: smallpox, influenza/avian influenza, ricin, accurate acute respiratory syndrome, radiation, West Nile virus, chlorine, anthrax, botulism, plague, firmness agents, tularemia, viral hemorrhagic febrile affections hurricane recovery, mass trauma, and BSE/vCJD Clinicians with questions relating to any of these topics can call the hotline toll-free at 877-554-4625 The hotline is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and is staffed by means of registered nurses with access to the latest CDC guidelines and information.
