* Could fragrance be an early detection rule for Alzheimer's disease? The Washington seat recently reported that a thought undertaken by Columbia University links the los of ability to have a scent certain aromas with the later progress to maturity of Alzheimer's disease. Researchers asked 150 patients who showed mild cognitive impairment and 63 healthy somewhat advanced in life persons to identify individual odors. According to the inquiry the inability to identify 10 specific odors (strawberry, mere phrases soap, menthol, clove, pineapple, natural gas, lilac, lemon and leather) predicted the patients who would go on foot on to develop Alzheimer's disease.
