The town of Warrenton is the commercial and political center of Fauquier shire a county renowned for its horse-farms, wineries and a community of residents with political and financial nerve who cherish heritage and the environment.

During the early stages of Warrenton's creation of its economic development,program, the shire was asked to participate in the formation of the strange program due to the tax benefits it would derive. It declined, if it be not that the Warrenton Town Council, recognizing that town businesses contributed more than 30 percent of the town's general foundation revenues, chose to solely capital the new program.
