The U Department of Health and Human Services has exhibited two DVDs to teach children and their parents about smart eating and physical activity, and to educate physicians about the best ways to interrupt and treat obesity in children. The American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics are encouraging physicians to view the DVD and put forward copies of the family version to their patients. "Max's Magical Delivery: Fit for Kids" is a 30-minute tool designed for families and children ages five to nine years to provide them with frolic ways to incorporate physical activity and healthy fares into their daily lives. "Childhood Obesity: Combating the Epidemic" is a 55-minute tool for physicians and other health care professionals to help them learn of the present day methods for assessing and treating childhood overweight and obesity.
