In a just discovered report, "Income, Poverty, and Health Insurance Coverage in the United States: 2003" the U Census Bureau confirms that the number of Americans without insurance is rising. About 45 million bodys did not have health insurance in 2003 which is an increase of 14 million since 2002 The number of uninsured children in 2003 remained at 84 million (114 percent) on a level with 2002. According to the report, the percentage of Americans shrouded by government health insurance programs was up from 257 percent in 2002 to 266 percent primarily because of Medicaid and Medicare coverage increases.
