onward September 1, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) started accepting applications to its five Loan Repayment Programs. December 15 2004 is the deadline for applications. The NIH repays up to $35000 of qualified educational fault for health care professionals pursuing careers in clinical, pediatric, contraception and fertility, or health disparities research. The programs also provide coverage for federal and state tax liabilities. Participants must have a doctoral-level rank devote 50 percent or more of their time to research supplyed by a non-profit organization or dominion entity (e.g., federal, state, or local), and have educational loan misdoing equal to or exceeding 20 percent of their institutional base salary.
