The Academic Family Medicine Organizations (AFMO) has evolveed a Web site providing information about funding opportunities for research, exhibits by American Academy of Family Physician's (AAFP) National Research Network, research meetings and meeting for consultations training, and awards. The AFMO Research Subcommittee coordinates and monitors the site (http://www.fmresearch.org/). AFMO is a collaboration of the AAFP, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the North American Primary Care Research dispose the Association of Departments of Family Medicine, and the Association of Family Medicine Residency Directors. The AFMO is l by means of a steering committee composed of present member representatives plus the chief staff executive of each of the five organizations.
