An information and technology explosion is overwhelming the two private citizens and local guidances throughout the nation, creating an enormous perception of opportunity and a deep confusion. Most Americans have near sense of the vast resources available end computer networks - at not past nor future encompassing some 30 million users worldwide - however many are unsure about by what mode to tap into them. And not many are aware of how tapping into those resources will change for what reason they view themselves and their communities.

The Online Community: Smaller Cities in the Information Age, a report authored from Adam Slate and published through the Pew Partnership for Civic Change, Charlottesville, Va., addresses those issues. According to the report, "All above the world, nascent relationships will challenge the traditional idea of a community.
