The National Institute in succession Aging (NIA) of the U Department of Health and Human Services has released pair publications on Alzheimer's disease (AD). "2001-2002 Alzheimer's Disease Progres Report" and "Alzheimer's Disease: Unraveling the Mystery" are available liberated of charge by calling the NIA's Alzheimer's Disease Education and Referral (ADEAR) Center at 800-438-4380 or online at www.alzheimers.org. The progres report exhibits a comprehensive overview of novel advances in AD research, including recently made known findings on the causes and mechanisms of AD, risk factors, promising protective measures, and caregiving. The companion piece to the progres report, "Alzheimer's Disease: Unraveling the Mystery," provides basic science background upon the brain and the AD, and presents an educational video and graphics in succession an accompanying CD-ROM.
