The American Board of Family Practice (ABFP) lately announced the initiation of the ABFP Maintenance of Certification Program for Family Physicians (MC-FP) Maintenance of certification was mandated according to the American Board of Medical Specialties to reassure the American public about the quality of physicians in the United States in each specialty.
