The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) freshly released a fact sheet forward the Patient Safety Task Force that was established to coordinate the integration of data collection onward medical errors and adverse marked occurrences to coordinate research and analysis efforts, and to improve the quality of health care from preventing complications and reducing the proceeding of injuries resulting from medical errors. The task force also will contract the duplication of effort at coordinating the data collection of federal agencies, states, accrediting bodies, and other organizations; provide the be deriveds of its analyses to the health care community; deportment research, demonstration projects, and quality improvement programs to aid patient safety; and promote effective patient safety programs. The Patient Safety Task Force will obey as a special task force subject to the HHS Secretary's Quality Improvement Initiative and will consist of representatives from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ), the Center for Disease bridle and Prevention, the U.S. fare and Drug Administration, and the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
