The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Tommy G Thompson lately announced two new steps in creating a paperless health care body that will allow patients and their physicians to access their completed medical records anytime and anywhere in an effort to bring medical errors, improve patient care, and cut short health care costs. To establish a frequent medical language for a unified electronic medical record theory HHS has signed an agreement with the society of American Pathologists to license the College's standardized medical vocabulary scheme and make it available without take away from throughout the United States. HH also has commissioned the Institute of Medicine to design a standardized protoplast of an electronic health record.
